At BLES 1:1 Home Tuition & Fun French we supply fully qualified, DBS checked tutors to students across Teesside, Darlington, Northallerton and the surrounding areas. Each client is personally matched with their tutor in accordance with their location and requirements. We have a wealth of experience in the industry and, prior to lessons commencing, your tutor will be interviewed by our team to ensure they are the perfect match. Tuition will then take place in the tutor or the client's home.

We pride ourselves on ensuring our tutors are well paid for the professional service they provide, whilst also offering affordable prices to our clients. Our rates are established according to the level of tuition required.

Please Note
Our rates cover a reasonable fuel cost, however this may be adjusted if a tutor is required to travel further than expected. Any changes to our prices will always be discussed and agreed upon upfront with our clients.
We also run Fun French clubs in schools and nurseries for groups of 6-16 children.
ASSIGNMENTS
- The tutor appointed to you will contact you as soon as possible after 1:1 receive your signed contract back - and they will make your first few appointments direct after discussing your requirements. An appointment card is available should there be a need.
- Please ensure that a parent/other adult is at home during the entire lesson
CANCELLATIONS
- If for any reason YOU have to cancel any appointments make the tutor aware as soon as possible and try to re-arrange the times so the child and tutor are not missing out; for some , this work is their main income and has to be relied upon.
- If advanced notice is given the tutor will not charge you for the lesson. Otherwise
1:1 request that for cancellations within 24 hours that full payment is made; otherwise half payment is taken for cancelling within 48 hours. That is at your individual tutor’s discretion. If you are regular offenders, 1:1 have advised tutors to charge. - If, for any reason, you are going to be delayed please alert the tutor to this fact – it may disrupt their schedule and a lesson may need to be shortened, yet charged in full.
- If, for any reason, you are not at home when the tutor arrives at the allotted time, You will be charged for their wasted journey. Tutors will wait for about ¼ of an hour and then the lesson will be deemed to have been cancelled and the full fee requested.
PAYMENT
- The tutor should make you aware, before the first session, how they want to be paid. The full lesson rate will be asked for (see below) from you at the end of each lesson, then the tutor sends commission to 1:1 at the end of each month.
- Some clients may like to pay a month at a time, discuss this with your tutor, so a system can be negotiated.
